i havent blogged in so long! feel like i got a lot to say. but dunno where to start!
PHOTOGRAPHY
first of all, last sunday i picked up and read the newspapers for the first time in like 1 or 2 weeks! LOL. haha. talk abt being a frog in the well! i realise i have almost no clue abt what is happening in the world now except that prelims are coming and that.. hmm actually thats abt it. haha.
anyway, i picked up the newspapers and found this page on this article on the sunday times abt family disputes and courtcases over houses and properties. one of the first few pages (because i usually get bored after a few pages. haha. no relation to the quality of articles though lol) but what really struck me was how ugly the ppl looked in the pictures! (haha. u can go look and see for urself if u dunno what im talking abt! its on the sunday times august 5th 2007, entitled families feud over real estate in red hot market haha.) either those ppl are really ugly, really unphotogenic, or straits times really has really lousy photographers who know how to take bad photos. haha
haha. i would think that its definitely the third of these three choices. after all, i do rmb how bad the opposition MPs always seem to look in the straits times! haha. whatever happened to the good photographers man! haha. all in rj photography club?!! LOL. i used to think advertisers of slimming products DEFINITELY have good photographers esp since the 'AFTER' photo always made the model look stunningly beautiful. but stupid me actually thought that the before and after actually referred to before the slimming treatment and after the slimming treatment until a good friend of mine enlightened me by informing me that it actually meant 'BEFORE PHOTOSHOP' and 'AFTER PHOTOSHOP'! LOL.
moral of the story: a picture speaks a thousand words! and guess what, with photoshop u actually get to choose the thousand words! unlimited vocabulary indeed.
random stuff
haha anyway, i spent so much time on the SGC 3 CCA achievements thing! wtman la! like polishing and polishing overly meticulously.. but i think its still so ARGHHH. imperfect. lol. and maybe im just so afraid, that mr koh will read it and think that i din put effort into it. LOL.
in fact, i think rj is really the worst place to study at if ur a bad student. i think all the teachers will just own u then ull feel super demoralized and end up doing worse than before. LOL. rj is place for the best to excel not for any value added! lol.
MY DREAM
anyway, a few days ago i had a dream abt myself doing a chem revision paper! WTMAN! and i actually remember the questions super distinctly. actually i only remember 3 of them i think. haha its like free chemistry practice!
okay the first one was a h3 chem question. basically quite simple. (come on. my subconscious mind not that powerful to come up with cheem questions LOL!) it was a chiral carbon with a phenyl group, hydrogen, chlorine and bromine attached. and the question was which isomer is this R or S? LOL. WTMAN! haha. and i can rmb visualizing the molecule and then deciding it to be the R isomer! haha.
question 2 was simple too! LOL. basically the question was what group when attached to a benzene ring will activate it? and i wrote CH3 lol. which isnt the best answer cos CH3 is only weakly activating. (it is rite? lol) BUT come on! must give myself credit for being able to solve the question in a subconscious state! LOL.
then the last question i rmb was how to u synthesize nitrobenzene from phenylamine in one step. haha. and i rmb writing down Sn/ conc. HCl then neutralize with NaOH in my answer then realizing that that is for the reaction from nitrobenzene to phenylamine (ie the other way round!) wtman i really dunno how i can come up with this kinda questions in my dream la. LOL!
then i was like wtman i dunno how to do this question! then in my dream i thought okay. Sn/conc. HCl is reduction so the opposite would be oxidation. so i just put KMnO4/dil H2SO4 heat. (ehhh. come on. im actually quite impressed that i could do this is my dream state la. LOL. maybe my subconscious mind more powerful in chem than my conscious! LOL.) HAHA. i dunno if its correct or not. cos when i woke up i realize that the synthesis isnt in our syllabus. BEYOND A LEVELS! LOL! haha.(it is rite? i really dun rmb any reaction like that. haha. or maybe my memory failed me. haha).
wtman! LOL! i really become mugger man liao! LOL. chemistry is the object of my dreams la. literally! haha.
